002129 Business Development Manager Transportation Rail Operators Required Salary negotiable

Our client is a leader service company providing various solutions to their clients across many industries. They have an opportunity for some to be part of their Transportation Domain focus on Rail Operators selling consulting, BPO, system integration solutions.

The individual’s primary responsibility will be to drive the pipeline for business development within a clearly specified account list.

Through a combination of strategic selling, analytical and relationship management skills, the individual will need to focus on securing relationships that build long-term client revenues and profitability.

The remit will be to lead the entire sales cycle from marketing, campaign management and the creation of client specific value propositions through detailed account planning and finally to contract negotiation and closure. The individual will be ultimately responsible for ensuring that targets are met and ideal clients converted.

On the client side the focus will be on Board level client engagement and interaction leading multi-discipline teams and facilitating executive engagement.

' Probably 8-10 year’s experience in a senior business development position

' Transportation domain knowledge – particularly Rail Operators.
' Experience of the strategic / consultative sales process

' Able to converse to a deep level around business strategy (not just IT) issues, particularly business models, supply chain and operations

' Experience of the outsourcing market – ideally some offshore experience
